Rhoscolyn is a beautiful village, with fine sandy beaches and lovely countryside. Llain y Brenin is situated only around 10 minutes walk from the beach down a pretty lane with a striking outlook across the mountains, the surrounding fields and attractive coastline. The sheltered bay in Rhoscolyn (‘Borth Wen’) is a great spot for families, and the views from its two headlands are spectacular. There are numerous inlets and coves and many offshore islands. The bay and further afield is very appealing to sailors, fishermen and paddleboarders alike, and great for spotting seals and the odd dolphin. It is a magical place to explore, rock pool, fish, and generally potter on the shoreline.

For shopping, nearby Trearddur and Valley have a number of shops between them including Post Offices, Holyhead has supermarkets and banks, a little further afield, Rhosneigr has a couple of convenience shops, clothes shops and a surf shop, and Chester is only an hour and a half away if you fancy a day trip for some proper shopping!
